The Natural Resources Commission will be conducting a pilot study in partnership with the U. S. Geological Survey to develop second generation of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and Digital Orthophoto Quadrangles (DOQs) as new series of NAPP (National Aerial Photography Program) imagery becomes available in 1999-2000. It would consist of developing 10-meter Level-2 DEMs, and 3.75-minute 1-meter resolution replacement DOQs for a county area. The Lancaster county is selected as a test county because the County Assessor's Office and the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District have expressed interest and commitment to this pilot project. The drafting of agreement is in progress.
