On request from the GIS Steering Committee, the Natural Resources Commission has agreed to assist the state in development of a hydrographic database for a test watershed at a scale of 1:24,000 that meet the national standards. The study includes developing a stream network, identify stream reaches, and delineate watershed boundaries within the project area. The project will be undertaken in cooperation with U. S. Geological Survey and other partners in the program including State Department of Water Resources, Department of Environmental Quality, and the Department of Roads. The purpose is to identify individual work elements and development processes, and to facilitate in cost and work-share with other partners in the program.
