Background
A second federal declaration for severe storms and flooding in June was declared on August 29.
It was for severe storms and flooding which took place from June 11-16, 2007.

Champion Lake Dam sustained heavy damage and was drained due to downstream concerns. NDNR press release.

President Bush declared this a federal disaster area for 15 counties on July 24, 2007.
The federal declaration is for Public Assistance and for Mitigation.

Counties declared:
Arthur, Chase, Dundy, Keith, McPherson, and Perkins.
